In the aftermath of Barry’s trip to the alternate timeline, or Flashpoint, he’s returned to a world that he doesn’t completely recognize. Made most evident by Iris and Joe’s new non-existent relationship, we have to wonder: what else has changed?
On The Flash Season 3 Episode 2 trailer, Barry begins to realize what a mistake he’s made, and he invites Felicity over from Star City to have a friendly face whose life he hopefully hasn’t messed with.
Now that Barry knows he and Iris are destined to be together in any timeline, he’s sure to feel much more secure in that relationship, but what exactly is his relationship with Iris in this altered timeline? Clearly he’s close with Joe and Wally, but did Iris end up as the child that lived with their mother away from Joe her entire life? What else could’ve strained their relationship to this point?
KILLER FROST RETURNS. Personally, I’m most excited for this. It’s time for Caitlin Snow to get an actual story outside of a guy, Ronnie and Jay, and get in on the real action of Team Flash. Sure, having a personal doctor residing around STAR Labs is great for Barry, but it doesn’t do much for her character and she’s almost become completely unbearable.
Danielle Panabaker killed being Killer Frost on Earth-2, so there’s high hopes for her new incarnation that is surely going to use her frost powers for good, but it’s more than likely that there will be a few mishaps before, and Caitlin will have to deal with that guilt.
Draco Malfoy is in town, and he’s suspicious of Barry. About time. How long did Barry really think he could get away with working at the police precinct and someone not realize he’s the Flash when he disappears all the time. He’s not that stupid, right?
What has Barry’s mistake altered in his life and so many others? Time will tell, but his guilt is sure to overburden him at some point. Can he fix Iris and Joe’s relationship? Can he adjust to this different world?
