The fight against Project Cadmus begins as one of the doctors releases one of their human experiments to destroy Kara, Clark, and the other aliens on Earth. Will Kara and Clark even be able to stop them together, let alone on their own?
The clue to where Jeremiah Danvers may still be alive lies at Project Cadmus headquarters, wherever that is, but the fight is coming to Supergirl on Supergirl Season 2 Episode 2, “The Last Children of Krypton.”
At the end of Season 2 Episode 1, we saw a doctor inject a dying patient with something that made him alien-like. Clearly these powers aren’t just for show; his orders are to kill Supergirl.
Could Jeremiah really be alive after all of these years? It’s possible, but the man they find wouldn’t be the same. Do they really want to return a man that is possibly so damaged by what he’s seen, and perhaps what he’s done? Most likely, he’d had to become one of their doctors to survive there.
This ultra-human that Cadmus has unleashed on National City is seemingly indestructible, so how can Kara and Clark stop him? They may need J’onn’s help, but if it takes three aliens just to take down one of their creations, how can they be expected to realistically stop Project Cadmus and everyone/everything they have in holding at their base?
Could Chris Wood’s character, the unknown alien in the Kryptonian pod, be the key? Could he hold the extra strength that Kara and Clark need to stop Cadmus? If my personal predictions are correct, Cadmus is going to kill Superman somehow, so it may just be Kara up against this massive alien threat.
There’s so much at stake here, and Project Cadmus may hold the answers to killing Kryptonians without kryptonite. If so, it’s going to be a long fight for Kara, who isn’t used to actually being physically hurt in her fights to save the world.
