American Horror Story: Roanoke has been plagued by the Butcher, played by Kathy Bates, as the mad ghost woman that died protecting her land and spilling innocent blood, and has ever since. With her assumed end in the fire, where does Roanoke go from here?
The Millers escaped Roanoke in American Horror Story Season 6 Episode 6, so what’s the next for the season that was infested with undead colonists and a witch played by Lady Gaga?
The focus seems to be shifting onto the camera crew as they have their own story to tell now that the Millers’ story is finished. With the Butcher gone now, is the land still plagued by ghosts? If no blood was spilled, is the land safe, or does the tie that the witch have with whatever dark spirit was keeping them bound to the land still exist?
It’s safe to say that the Millers will never return there, but Cheyenne Jackson’s character, seen in the preview below, seems to be telling his own story. Could there be other survivors of the land of lost Colony?
With five episodes left in American Horror Story: Roanoke, many are wondering where they go from here. No one expected that the Butcher would be taken out before the season’s end, or at all really because normally the horrors survive, but she and her fellow ghostmates are supposedly gone.
Technically, we didn’t see them leave. Blood could’ve been spilled on the land that night; just because it wasn’t Matt, Shelby, or Flora’s doesn’t mean it didn’t happen. They got to safety, but they haven’t gone back to see if their suspicions were correct.
Where will the story go from here? That’s almost as deep under wraps as the theme for this season was all year.
American Horror Story continues Wednesday at 10/9c on FX. Watch the trailer below!
